Gideon Optics – Omega Product Details

New from Gideon Optics, the Omega is a competition ready RMR footprint pistol dot featuring a huge 22.3mm tall and 27mm wide window. It’s fantastic for competing in carry optics division or even for beginners who just want the biggest window they can possibly get to find the reticle more quickly. With reticle options in Green and Red and your choice of a single dot or a large circle-dot, Omega is ready to take you to a new personal level. Battery life at brightness level 6 (out of 10) would be about 20,000 hours continuously, but Omega’s motion sensing shake-to-awake illumination extends practical battery life to an industry standard 50,000 hours. When the time comes to swap that CR1632 battery, you just pop the old one out the top-feed battery tray, so there’s no need to remove the optic and re-zero due to a battery swap. Windage and elevation adjustments feature audible and tactile clicks at approximately 1 MOA per click.

A battery-extending low-power mode turns off your emitter after 225 seconds without motion. Any movement, from drawing to a quick wrist shake, reactivates your reticle in milliseconds. After 12 hours Omega enters a Deep Sleep mode to conserve battery, a single button press reactivates standard motion activation.

Omega also includes a low-profile 1913 Picatinny mount included in the box in case you want to run it on a 45 degree offset, backup sight, or even as the primary optic on a shotgun, carbine, or PCC.

Omega is backed up by a LIFETIME warranty from Gideon Optics covering the function of the optic. Excepting intentional abuse, if the optic stops functioning as intended within three years of purchase, Gideon will replace it.
