The Holosun EPS Carry is an extremely tough, fully enclosed emitter pistol dot using the Holosun “K” footprint. The “K” footprint is nearly identical to the Shield RMSc footprint except that the rear recoil lugs are deleted. That means the Holosun EPS Carry will fit on any RMSc footprint slide that does not have rear recoil lugs, but slides that do feature recoil lugs will either need them shaved down or an adapter plate added. The EPS Carry is one of the only slimline slide pistol dots on the market to use a slide battery tray so you don’t have to remove and re-zero the optic during battery swaps.
EPS Carry features the famous Holosun Multi-Reticle System (MRS) allowing the user to select between three reticles: a 2 MOA dot surrounded by a 32 MOA circle, or just the dot by itself, or just the circle by itself. For those who already know they prefer just the dot, save some money and get the simple 6 MOA dot in red or green instead. Battery life is listed at 50,000 hours but in reality this is dependent on what reticle you choose– the full circle dot will chew into that battery life somewhat. EPS Carry also features Solar Failsafe, a patented solar panel mounted into the top of the optic that will take over and power the unit in case the battery fails.
Bottom line: The Holosun EPS is one of the toughest optics and has one of the largest windows in its size category, and also one of the only ones with a selectable reticle and solar power backup. It is arguably the premier, top tier option for the firearms that it can be fitted to.
